We have already shared many  of our personal refleclections on our relationship with Gina and Derek on Dereks web page but dearest Gina deserves to be remembered in her own right.  Gina was one of the kindest and most thoughtful  people we knew.  Mind you she was also straight talking and never left you in any doubt if she didnt  agree with you about something  !!! She  was very fond of our two sons Paul and Stephen  and right up to the end would always ask how they were and what  they were up to.

 Perhaps one of our lasting memories of Gina was her compassion for others and her love of animals and plants.  She and Prince Charles would have rubbed along very nicely as like him she believed plants and flowers respond to loving care and kind words. She often sat on her balcony stroking the leaves  of varios plants and chatting away to them not caring if others thought she was nutty , her plants repaid her by flourishing.  And lets face it many of us now hug trees and talk to our plants so she was ahead of the game.  We are going to plant a rose bush in our garden and dedicate it to Gina and Derek and hopefully she will watch over it for us and we will think of them both when we chat to it and woe betide it if it doesnt flourish !!!! 

All of us will remember Gina as a really special  lady . She will not be forgotten
